MEET Joshua
Joshua is a sweet and loving boy who will win over your heart with his smile. He is very sociable, loves hugs, and gets along well with other children. He has creative ways to communicate, and is making great strides using picture books and a PECS board at school. Some of his favorite activities include sitting with friends and playing with blocks or coloring. Joshua likes to play with trains, building blocks and puzzles; he finds hours of enjoyment in them. He also loves sensory activities like arts and crafts, going for walks and swinging on the swings at the local park. Joshua is used to living with animals and is good with pets. Joshua has a lot of love to give to his forever family. He will do best with a family who can continue to teach him communication skills and gain independent living skills. A household with a predictable routine and clear boundaries would also be a great support for Joshua. Parental rights have not been terminated for Joshua; however when a permanent resource is identified the county will enact final steps to terminate parental rights. For more information, a family can call the SWAN Helpline at 1-800-585-SWAN or have the family worker contact the recruiter, Sarah Reiss, via telephone or email
